Today, I embarked on a new journey; although, this journey actually began on Saturday. That doesn't make any sense.
Nonetheless, today, I purchased a turntable (or record player) to play the vinyl records that I purchased on Saturday. By the way, a record player costs more than you would think--or at least more than I would have thought. My first three vinyl purchases occurred on Saturday: Oh Inverted World by The Shins, The Loon by Tapes 'N' Tapes, and the self-titled EP by I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness (a band from Austin; produced by Spoon's Britt Daniel). I'm pretty excited.
There's a lot of albums I want on vinyl now. Here's my notable vinyl wishlist (in case you'd like to get me a gift...ha):
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by Wilco
A Ghost is Born by Wilco
Cold Roses by Ryan Adams
Transatlanticism by Death Cab for Cutie
Everything All of the Time by Band of Horses
Gimme Fiction by Spoon
Definitive Greatest Hits by Al Green
Castaways and Cutouts by The Decemberists
Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Funeral by Arcade Fire
