I Salute You...

I came to a realization tonight. That realization? The Razorback Six is the most underrated movie theater in Northwest Arkansas. Rogers is really nice. Sugar Creek is a wannabe nice theater. Sprigndale is trash. Fiesta isn't bad. Razorback has charm, though. All those others lack the charm that Razorback has to it.

Maybe part of it is that Razorback plays those really good movies that get ignored at the other theaters--like Garden State and Napolean Dynamite. Call me crazy, but I think that this theater adds to a movie. I watched Elizabethtown there tonight, and I'm glad that I didn't have stadium seating and a digital screen and THX sound. I'm glad that there were grain lines running down the middle of the screen that weren't supposed to be there. I'm glad that Cameron Crowe's awesome soundtrack crackled a little bit as it came out of the clearly outdated speakers.

So, call this my salute to The Razorback Six.
