I returned home from our journey to Nashville earlier tonight. Monday morning, we worship leaders from FSM packd up in the Fellowship van to head for Nash-vegas. My worshipping cohorts were our faithful leader Josh Eddleman, Ryan Ceola, Nick Roland, my bedmate Garland Autry, Dustin Vail, and the ever-wise Bob Holland (Josh's father-in-law/White River's pastor).
It's late, and I don't won't to dive in too deep tonight. I just wanted to say that it was an amazing time that left me with a broken heart, a refreshed soul, and a challenged mind. It was truly a blessing from God to have gone with those six men--to worship along side, to unpack and digest what was happening in our hearts and minds, and to fellowship with. God blessed me as well with the ability to spend a short time with Callan and John one afternoon. I felt extremely blessed to be placed into the family group that I was--Derek, Haley, Mary Alice, Aubrey, Audrey, Steven, Faith, and Megan challenged and inspired me in our times together. I feel blessed to have the mind-blowing teachings of Dr. Piper, the passionate teachings of Louie Giglio, and the convicting teaching of Beth Moore. Tim Hughes breakout for worship leaders was one the affirmed much of what we do, inspired me to work harder as a worship leader, and convicted me to worship more in my own life. Ben Stuart's breakout convicted me in my pursuit of holiness and righteousness for my mind and body, and it challenged me to seek strong accountability. More than anything--I was blessed to stand in the presence of the Almighty God--whose glory far outweighs my tiny existence on this tiny ball of dust in a seemingly unending universe and who (despite our greatest efforts to push him away) pursues us with a truly never-ending love. God is indeed the Glorious One.
Glorious. Glorious.
God is glorious.
